A mentor showed me this video about 6-7 months ago. I have re-watched this video multiple times, and have taken something new each time. It spoke volume to me because as a man, it is typically considered to be a stigma to be vulnerable. However, vulnerability allows for a much more deeper connection. It allows you to appreciate the person you are talking to more as well, and vice versa because there are no walls to hide the transparency. Dr. Brown mentioned that you cannot separate your emotions, and the ones that are vulnerable are the most happiest. This is an approach I have taken since I saw the video to anyone who is willing to have an in depth conversation with me.
