Hey friends, this is Barbara. She is now a coach to help others succeed in life. This stemmed from her dark times where she lost several people close to her in a short span of time. Check out the blog for the whole conversation!
Hey friends, this is Jeremy. Originally from South Carolina, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment field. Check out the blog for the whole conversation!
Through my own self-growth, I learned a couple of important lessons that I want to talk about. The first one is being vulnerable. We have ups and downs, and sometimes when you open up, you may inspire someone without knowing. The second is to be a person of value because “no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care”.
Today is the first day of the New Year, and I spent the morning reflecting on 2018. People often make New Year resolutions, but truth be told, many give up a couple of months into them. There were ups and downs, just like everything else in life worthwhile. But if I had to sum it in one word: amazing.
I’d love to hear from you about your goals and your reflection back for 2018 too.
My Friendship Project is to simply connect with others in the Greater Los Angeles area and meet up for an hour to have a meaningful conversation. There are no scripts and no intention, with the exception of being friends. I plan to document the project and the meetings with all the incredible people on my here and social media platforms. A friend is a friend to me, regardless of where we’ve met.
The Holidays can be challenging. Especially with the gloomy weather, depending where you live, it can be sad and depressing. I encourage you to take control of things that you are able to. If you feel like you are alone, you aren’t. You can look at events to join to make new friends. Sometimes we take what we have for granted because we became accustomed to them. Perhaps volunteering (even if it’s just your time) will give you a sense of fulfillment and gratitude.
